The internships allow the individual to gain valuable experience with a professional organization for their future in the sports, recreation, entertainment industry. All candidate hours can be flexible to accommodate with your school or work schedule. Some nights, weekends, and holidays will be required.

The Safety and Security Intern will report to the Sr. Director of Safety and Security and assist with objectives of the department. Safety and Security Interns will learn the value of managing the organization’s safety and security program.  The internship will take place from January to May, 2022.

What you’ll do:

  • Collaborate with management to develop, prepare, and implement safety and security policies and procedures.
  • Assist the security team to provide safety measures for regular workdays, gamedays, and other events held at Toyota Stadium and Soccer Complex.
  • Review current safety training and recommends revisions, improvements, and updates.
  • Submit recommendations for improvements and additions to the safety management program including emergency preparedness, accident prevention, general safety, and risk management.
  • Stop operations and activities that could harm staff or equipment.
  • Identify opportunities to minimize injuries, accidents, and problems.
  • Share safety and security information with appropriate levels in the organization.
  • Assist with scheduling security staff for gamedays or stadium events and other administrative tasks.
  • Maintain comprehensive communication with the Stadium Operations team and other departments.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by Sr. Director of Safety and Security.

You are:

  • Intuitive, resourceful, enthusiastic, hard-working student.
  • Capable of working under pressure while juggling multiple projects simultaneously. 
  • Reliable, self-starter, and able to serve as an authority figure when necessary.
  • Able to work independently as well as in a team environment.
  • Willing to work a flexible schedule to include some nights, weekends and holidays based on event schedule.

Skills & Experience



  • Must be an active college student or recent graduate.
  • Required to be fully vaccinated prior to start date with FC Dallas.
  • Excellent interpersonal plus verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong computer skills and technology skills to include Excel and Word.
  • Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at times.
  • Ability to travel throughout facility and complex.
  • Bilingual (Spanish) skills a plus, but not a requirement.
